Wakefield Memorial High School will house the new Center for Performing Arts on its campus. Converting an existing lecture into a multi-functional performing arts and lecture space will be a positive addition to the community of Wakefield.
The scope of the renovations will include an updated auditorium plan with fixed seating, a new lighting grid and sound system, lighting and sound control booth, a costume and scenery room, and other related support space. Other features include a sprung floor and wings, ideal for dance performances. The new performing arts center will also be made handicap accessible.
The Performing Arts Center will be a space that is accessible both to students and faculty of Wakefield Memorial High School and also to members of the greater Wakefield community.
