All major program elements of Temple Beth Shalom are
addressed in this renovation and addition project - a new
kitchen and oneg room addition, renovated sanctuary, handicapped access and new toilet rooms, as well as deferred maintenance improvements. Working within a restrictive site, key program elements were reorganized and rebuilt to provide a cost-effective solution.
The design for the project featured re-orientation of the
sanctuary toward Jerusalem and the addition of clerestory lighting about the Bimah and lighting from new dormers above the sanctuary. The space is designed to seat 200 congregants, in moveable seating arrangements to accommodate social functions as well as religious services.
